STEP 1: CLEANSE
Step 1: Cleanse Curly Hair
Cleansing curly hair is the foundation of a healthy hair care routine. Curly hair tends to be drier than other hair types because natural oils from the scalp struggle to travel down the hair’s twists and turns. This can lead to product buildup, dirt, and excess oils on the scalp, which may block moisture and nutrients from reaching the hair.
Proper cleansing removes this buildup without, allowing curls to breathe and remain hydrated. It preps your hair for the next steps in your routine, ensuring your curls stay bouncy, defined, and healthy.

Final Wash: A deep cleanse to remove buildup from silicones, oils, and heavy products, usually done before starting a curly hair routine.

Gentle Cleanser: A mild, sulfate-free shampoo used regularly to clean the hair without stripping away natural oils, keeping curls hydrated and healthy.

Co-Wash: A conditioner-based wash that gently cleanses while adding moisture, ideal for curly hair that tends to be dry and needs extra hydration.

STEP 2: CONDITION
Step 2: Condition Curly Hair
Conditioning curly hair is essential because curls are naturally more prone to dryness. The twists and turns of curly hair make it harder for natural oils to travel down the hair shaft, leading to dry, frizzy strands. Conditioning helps restore moisture, smooth the hair cuticle, and improve curl definition. It also provides slip, making it easier to detangle curls without causing breakage. Regular conditioning keeps curls soft, shiny, and healthy
Choose your step 2 product based on what your curls needs, mositure of protein. Use a protein product if your curls are damaged.
- Bye Bye Tangles Conditioner (for a quick fix, detangle the hair and rinse out)
- Intense Moisture DeepConditioner (keep on for 15 minutes to moisture the curls)
- Intense Protein Deepconditioner (keep on for 15 minutes to add protein to your curls).

2in1 Heavy Creams (can be used as a deepconditoner or as a leave-in and is suitable for type 4)
Please note: all of our conditioners work from the inside out. Give them time to do their job. It's not just about slip; it's about deeply nourishing your hair.
